Holiday Dress Too Tight?

B109 darius cordell circle - ball gownsWell, if you have been reading any of this blog for a while, you know that I’m a person who is NOT in favor of going on a “diet.”  It has always been my belief that we should adopt and stick to a “healthy eating plan.”  That said, there have been times in my life when my body seemed to need a little shock treatment to get started in losing that extra 5 or 10 pounds so that I could fit into some particular party dress for a special occasion.

Since it is now one of those times of the year and I have baked dozens of cookies and other goodies for my friends and neighbors (they may not be healthy but the people love them), I seemed to have sampled one too many.

One of the ways that I adjust for those extra pounds is to apply the “One Week Diet” knowing that this is not something that I would do or suggest others do for large amounts of weight loss or permanent changes in eating habits.

Because I already take a fairly large number of food supplements in “pill” form, I prefer a drink-based program.  Replacing 2 meals with a shake form of meal replacement for only 1 week just works for me.  Know that I am aware I can do the same thing with correct food balancing and preparation for those same two meals.  It is just easier to drink an all-natural completely balanced meal replacement with an extra colon cleansing formula than to spend the time figuring out the exact amount of calories, fats, protein, vitamins, minerals, etc., that I would need to prepare.  In addition, I can just order the product online and don’t need to go shopping.

If this appeals to you, just go to my “Health to Happiness” page.

  • Well it’s great to hear that my healthy role model has moments of eating too much of the wrong foods. LOL! No seriously, I really admire your healthy habits and aspire to be just like you when I grow up BUT I am going to wait until after the New Year so I can get in my last hurrah.

I have spent quite sometime on the site reading about the One Week Diet and it sounds promising. In fact, I think it just might be the perfect jump start for me when I return to classes in a few weeks, at which time I am much more faithful to living a healthy lifestyle.

One thing about choosing to follow my passion . . . when you mentor young people you have to lead by example and look good doing it . . . or they will be too busy talking about you instead of talking to you.

Thanks for sharing. You always inspire me to do better. Too bad you can’t cook my food everyday!
