If I ever had any doubts about Scott Tousignant’s theory of the relationship between working out (exercise) and productivity, this week proved he was right.
Those of you who have been reading my blog know that I’ve been in Mexico for the past 3 weeks. We flew home on Monday so that took all day and therefore–no exercise. On Tuesday we had so much catching up to do with household things and getting to see my grandchildren that I let all my exercise slip again.
Two things happened as a result:
By Wednesday, I had to drag myself to the gym as well as force myself to do my home workouts. It is amazing how short a time it takes to get sluggish and out of the habit of scheduling those important things in. It has been said that concerning exercise, “The less you want to do it, the more you need it.” I believe that is true.
The second thing that I noticed was that it took a couple of days getting back into my workouts to be able to focus on my computer work and actually get done what I had on my list. Exercise does have a significant impact on your ability to focus and get things done in a shorter amount of time.
If you do not have a regular, scheduled workout system, you should go now to look at Scott’s program. You won’t need spend hours to go to the gym (as I just like to do) because this program is designed for those working from home and who want to exercise at home in short bursts. You don’t need to spend a lot of money on other equipment or tapes. Take a look now and try some of his free stuff to see what you think.
Want to see a video tour of Scott’s home and office where he practices what he preaches?
Time for me to increase my energy and productivity with a quick home office workout.
Be well
